I won a sci-fi short story contest when I was 15 and got real smug about it. It’s been 20 years and I’m still smug about it. I have a BA from Hartwick College and an MA from Wilkes University, although according to almost everyone I’ve ever told, those don’t really matter in “real life”. My husband is a good person who has a lot of patience.
